Human Solutions develops bodyscanner

Human Solutions Group has developed a new, contact-free bodyscanner to acquire the measurements of people in 3D. It is globally unique, that a scanatar is created in a fully-automatic process based on 3D depth sensors – and the scanatars dimensions correspond exactly to the body dimensions of the person being scanned. At only one second, the scan time is extremely short and the scanner takes up only 3m¦ of space. A total weight of only 30 kg and a set up time of less than 30 minutes with no special skills needed makes these compact new scanner systems ideal when portability is required.

The software used is based on tested and proven solutions, supplemented by innovative approaches to the creation of customer-specific scanatars. The scanatars can then be used and virtually dressed in the Vidya simulation software, constituting a unique process chain.

The scanner measures by means of optical triangulation (infrared light, 12 sensors) and is an addition to the existing scanner family with 3D laser technology. It is especially suitable for the virtual try-on procedure in apparel vendors stores.
