In a major expansion plan, textile manufacturer Nahar Industrial Enterprises (NIEL) has installed two new units?Monforts Montex stenter and a Thermex continuous dyeing range?from Monforts to increase the production of Nahar fabrics. Mumbai-based A.T.E. Enterprises, Monforts? representative for India, installed the two machines.
With this tie-up, Nahar?s second fabric division will increase its fabric output by one-third (from 1.5 million metre per month to 2.2 million metre) following the installation of the two new Monforts units.
SS Basu, President, Nahar Fabrics, said ?The division has two process units, the first established in 1999 and the second becoming operational in 2007. The first fabric division is producing 2.5 million metres per month. We have not been able to run at our full capacity before, as we did not have the dyeing capacity. Installing the Thermex dyeing range and the Montex stenter will enable us to reach our full capacity of 2.2 million metres within the next 12 months.?
