The Maharashtra Government will develop an integrated textile park on the sprawling 345 hectare of land in Malegaon. The Government took a decision to hand over the land to the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC).

Over 1,000 exhibitors from the country and abroad are scheduled to participate in the three-day long mega textile events, the largest in the world, to be held at Gandhinagar in Gujarat from June 30 to July 2.

In order to provide employment to the womenfolk of Sircilla textile town in Telangana, the State government launched a training-cum-production centre to produce garments at the textile park on outskirts of Sircilla.

The Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI) is all set to develop first-of-its-kind mega textile park on 70 lakh sq m of land owned by the state government at Pinjrat in Olpad taluka of Surat district, Gujarat with an initial investment of Rs 1,500 crore.
