Dr Kavita Gupta has been appointed as the Textile Commissioner, located in Mumbai. She has a doctorate in foreign trade. Kavita Gupta, a 1985 batch Maharashtra cadre IAS, was in July 2015 moved to the Department of Atomic Energy as additional secretary, from her position of additional Director General of Foreign Trade in Mumbai under the Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
