Cornelia Buchwalder has served on an interim basis since June 2019, following the retirement of Maria Avery, and was elected to the permanent position by the Cematex Board on March 12.

Originally slated to be held in October, ITMA ASIA + CITME will now take place from 12 to 16 June 2021 at the National Exhibition and Convention Centre (NECC), Shanghai.
Themed ‘Innovating the World of Textiles’, the 18th edition of ITMA, the world’s most established textile and garment technology exhibition, concluded successfully in Barcelona, Spain.
Of the overseas participants, Indian visitors top the list, reflecting the strong growth of its textile industry. Following closely were trade visitors from Japan, China Taiwan, Korea and Bangladesh.
Due to an overwhelming response, the joint owners of the ITMA ASIA + CITME 2018 exhibition have now booked additional space at the North Hall (NH) at National Exhibition and Convention Centre (NECC).
Coinciding with the online registration is the launch of the official app for ITMA 2019. The app can be downloaded free of charge from the Apple App Store and Google Play.
The sixth combined ITMA ASIA + CITME exhibition is gearing up for another huge showcase in Shanghai, China. It is expected to attract a trade visitorship of around 100,000 from around the world.
