When a vision becomes reality, CDL KNITS/TROPIC KNITS in Mauritius strike a new path in textile finishing. The TROPIC KNITS Group located in Mauritius is with 3,000 employees one of the biggest producers of high-quality fine knit garments in the Indian Ocean.

A company that specialises in manufacturing machines for finishing textile and film webs, BRÜCKNER Trockentechnik GmbH & Co. KG intends to introduce assistance systems for plant operators onto the market. The family-owned company, an active member of the VDMA, expects the tools to unlock energy savings and free up 30 percent of the reserve capacity in German-manufactured systems.

The researchers from the Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute and Konkuk University in the Republic of Korea, coated cotton and polyester yarn with a nanoglue called bovine serum albumin (BSA). The yarns were then wrapped in graphene oxide sheets.

In Maharashtra, after the declaration of State Textile Policy, a total of 769 projects with investment of Rs 6,690 crore have been established. The investment have come predominantly into the developed textile machinery of spinning and weaving sector.

Textile industry, like any other industry, has been grappling with the problem of energy crisis for a long time. But slowly, this may snowball into a major crisis and at a time when the Government is pinning high hopes on textile industry as a driver of economic growth, such a situation is not desirable.
