Surat polyester fabrics, saris and dress materials will be on the shelves of Bangladesh consumers, if the Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s (SGCCI) plan to set up an extension office at Dhaka with the assistance of Federation of Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) brings good results.
According to BS Agarwal, President, SGCCI, Bangladesh is the top manufacturer of readymade garments and garment industry uses around 90 per cent cotton.
