Suessen | Firm German roots & global reach

Suessen was founded in 1920 in the South German village of Suessen, from where it took its name. From its inception Suessen concerned itself with textile components and systems. Spindles were followed by top weighting arms and bottom rollers. In the mid 70s, we got involved in Open End spinning, and it the late 90s, compact spinning followed. Suessen was founded in 1920 in the South German village of Suessen, from where it took its name. From its inception Suessen concerned itself with textile components and systems. Suessen´s main products today are:
SUESSEN EliTe®Compact Spinning System
OE components, called Premium Parts
OE SpinBoxes and AirJet spinning units, both sold to our parent company Rieter

Premium parts
Over the last nearly four decades, nobody has designed and manufactured more OE SpinBoxes than Suessen. It is clear, therefore that Suessen has the highest competence in designing and manufacturing all critical OE spare parts. Our customers in USA, Europe and Asia appreciate the quality and innovativeness of our Premium Parts and favour us with regular orders.

Suessen EliTe®Compact Spinning System
In my opinion, the ITMA 1999 in Paris was the birthdate of compact spinning. Suessen, as well as other OEMs, showed their solutions to reducing hairiness in ring spinning.
Over the years, Suessen EliTe®Compact Spinning System became the most popular compact system worldwide. As everybody knows, ring spinning is strongest in Asia ´ and so it is probably a small surprise, that Asia is also the destination of the vast majority of our EliTe®Spindles. India continues to be Suessen´s largest market.

In my opinion, there are various reasons for our success

-As EliTe®Compact Spinning constitutes the largest portion of our business, we have to be more focused than our competition.
-We manufacture in Germany only. This allows us to keep very stringent quality standards.
-Very early in the game, we invested in local service. This allowed fast reaction to customers´ requests ´ and ensures rapid feed-back to our research and manufacturing in Germany.

The Indian ITME, to be held this December in Mumbai, is of the highest importance for Suessen! I mentioned earlier that India is our largest market for EliTe®Compact Spinning, and it is very important that we interact with our customers ´ and learn from them how to further improve our products! The ITME is an ideal event for such interaction. Naturally, myself, together with members of our team, will be present during the duration of this important event. This will also give us the opportunity to discuss with our customers the innovations exhibited. ITMAs have always been highlights for everybody involved in the textile chain, and Milan was no exception. We were favoured with several excellent orders, during ITMA, and of course also after it closed.

The continued trust of our customers in our products does certainly not make us relax and rest on our laurels.
