Speedy sorting of cotton contamination

Raw cotton often contains foreign objects, such as polypropylene scrap, or dirt. Before cotton fiber can be spun, the raw cotton must be sorted to remove any foreign particles and fibres. While foreign particles can be clearly distinguished from the raw cotton by colour, contrast and structure, foreign fibres such as polypropylene or polyethylene films are often light and transparent, making them difficult to detect using conventional foreign particle separators. Plants spend enormous amounts of money each year to rectify damage caused by such objects, so these contaminants must be removed before cotton processing.

The cotton along with foreign fibres pass travel at high speeds and at this speed the camera and software recognise a foreign fibre in the path. Depending upon the type of machine, Gang of pneumatic valve in combination of 16, 32, 48, 64 at the spacing of less than 10 mm are mounted on the path to blow off the contaminations at that speed. Mac Valve had developed very high-speed precision pneumatic valves for many OEMs application which have constant high speed opening and closing time. These valve can develop pulse of air in less than 1 milliseconds and it is not effected by air pressure variance. As the opening of the valve is important to blow off the contamination, it´s more important to close the valve very fast to avoid blowing off good fibres. Mac meet this requirements by having very strong magnetic coil for open and strong spring to close the valve. These Burn proof valves don´t stick & can handle 40µ air quality, ensuring machine to run continuously without any downtime.
