Sedo Treepoint, the inventor or the dye machine automation controller and market leader for textile finishing automation and software applications has added two new software applications, specially designed for modern textile finishing plants. Now, besides the well-known products for production planning, colour management and energy management (SedoMaster, ColorMaster, EnergyMaster), packages for printing management (PrintMaster) and for production simulation and routing (SedoExpert) are available. The modular packages can be installed to create a fully integrated, automated production environment.

Many customers in the finishing department have already included their dyeing machines in the MES production planning system. But other continuous machines such as stenters, CPB, dryers, etc. are not part of this overall finishing central system. An entire digital textile finishing plant can be setup with the solutions, having dyeing and finishing machines connected, sending dyeing and recipe data to all machines control system and back. All inventories are updated automatically. The workflow could start when getting a new order until printing the final shipping documents after inspection.

Textile finishing mills have a lot of complex know-how and need to produce reliable and consistent quality. Sedo Treepoint’s software solutions make a difference, giving customers tools to optimise their production, lower the consumptions and deliver high efficiency in all processes. A lot of the know-how can be stored in the system, so that human errors are avoided. By entering rules, automatic optimization will achieve tremendous savings.

Machine efficiency, pay-pack of an order, reasons for machine idle times, and many more information are no longer a secret. Routing information is available for each batch, that can be supported by barcode scanning or RFID scanners.

On all finishing machines the control systems are communicating via an interface to the digital systems. If Sedomat machine controllers are available already, they can be used for the connection, communicating directly with the machine and the applications.

Beside this, lab and production dispensing, lab and production color management and energy measurement and management can be done with the solution.

Color quality control is crucial for many retail brands and software such as the ColorMaster enables statistical control of jobs done for later reference. Completed by testing devices like Morapex (e.g. fast testing of pH) and Flex (dyestuff concentrations).

New dyeing machines can be ordered from any machine builder worldwide complete with Sedo Treepoint’s Sedomat controller installed. Machine retrofits and modernisation will bring additional efficiency.
