Over the last three months Ethiopia has earned 31.2 million USD from textile and garment export, disclosed the Ethiopian Textile Industry Development Institute. The Institute also stated that the foreign currency generated from the textile sector has been steadily growing.

Pakistan’s textile exports rose eight per cent to $4.39 billion in the first four months of the current fiscal 2017/18 as the industry’s value-added sector continued to post recovery in export earnings during the period, Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) data revealed.
Exports of the Textile Export Council increased 3 per cent in the period between January to October 2017 to stand at $673 million, as compared with $651 million a year earlier, the council said.
