Schindler India inaugurates Computer Lab at ITI Uran

Schindler India recently inaugurated the newly developed Computer lab at ITI Uran, Raigad on 7th Sep’ 2018, as an initiative under the umbrella of Schindler India’s Corporate Social Responsibility Program ‘Fulfill Futures’. The computer lab was inaugurated jointly by Nimish Deshpande – Sr Vice President Technical, Schindler India. and A M Jadhao – Joint Director of DVET. It is Schindler India’s endeavour to ensure that students at ITI Uran get access to information technology, thus enhancing their employability skills through this project.
Schindler India’s CSR Programme ‘Fulfill Futures’ was launched in 2014, to make a positive impact on the communities in which we live and operate. Through its CSR initiatives, Schindler makes social investments in education and sustainable communities.
Under its Education project, to promote technical education among less privileged youth, Schindler Igniting Minds (SIM) Program was designed. This program is crafted around the Skill India Initiative and aims to support and promote technical education by planned interventions that would acquaint SIM scholars with dynamics of the industry thereby leading to their holistic development resulting in industry ready Technicians and Engineers.
Till date, Schindler has awarded 667 scholarships and the goal is to award 1000 scholarship by end of 2020.
