Santosh Katariya Takes Over as the New President of CMAI

Katariya has been into the business of readymade garment manufacturing, (Brand – PEPPER MINT) for more than 17 years and is currently Managing Director of Peppermint Clothing, Pune.

At the 61st Annual General Meeting of the Clothing Manufacturers Association of India (CMAI), a new managing committee was elected and the following new office bearers were appointed for 2024-2025 & 2025-2026.

Santosh Katariya, an apparel industry veteran, has taken over as the new President of the Clothing Manufacturers Association of India (CMAI). Katariya has been into the business of readymade garment manufacturing, (Brand – PEPPER MINT) for more than 17 years and is currently Managing Director of Peppermint Clothing, Pune.

Earlier Katariya also held the Post of Regional Chairman, Western Regional Advisory Committee and the General Secretary of the Association for 4 Years.

On taking in-charge of the Presidentship, Katariya,underlined, “My immediate priority is to strengthen the Association and ensure that adequate measures are taken for improving the working of the Association. We will work shoulder to shoulder with both the Central and State governments and ensure smooth trade facilitation for our industry. Our target is to reach 7000 Members by the end of my term and my duty is to take every possible step to reach this target,” he added.

Sharing his vision for the Industry, Katariya, stated, “We are into challenging times where the supply chain is realigning itself and alternatives for better sourcing destinations are continuously being explored. We can definitely capture some of the space left vacant by reaching out to these areas. My vision is to see that every RMG Manufacturing Unit in India becomes ESG compliant and Industry, Government, and Association work together to strengthen Made-in-India RMG Products which are valued as quality products globally.”

Santosh Katariya is known for his philanthropy, benevolence and humanitarianism.
