Sanathan Textiles marked a strong presence at Techtextil India 2025, held at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, showcasing its enhanced manufacturing capabilities, expanded infrastructure, and a strengthened portfolio spanning technical textiles and sports-tech applications.
The company presented a wide range of specialised yarns for technical textiles—one of the industry’s fastest-growing categories—with applications across construction fabrics, automotive textiles, luggage materials, safety slings, industrial nets and other high-performance sectors. In the sports-tech segment, Sanathan Textiles highlighted innovative moisture-management and dry-cool yarns that serve sportswear, athleisure, gym wear and performance apparel. The portfolio also features self-stretch yarns and eco-friendly coloured yarns, underlining the company’s continued emphasis on sustainability and functional advancement.
At the Manmade and Technical Textiles Export Promotion Council (MATEXIL), Sammir Dattani, Executive Director, Sanathan Textiles, participated in a GenNext panel discussion titled “Prospects & Potential for Technical Textiles Exportsâ€. The session gathered emerging leaders from across India’s technical textiles ecosystem to examine export prospects, innovation pathways and evolving global demand for advanced textile solutions.
The panel comprised Kanav Jhunjhunwala (Sarla Performance Fibers Ltd), Gautam Dalmia (Strata Geosystems India Pvt Ltd), Rahul Bajaj (Khosla Profil Pvt Ltd) and Anish Jiwarajka (Jiwarajka Textile Industries). Together, they offered forward-looking views on strengthening India’s global competitiveness in technical textiles.
Discussions underscored significant opportunities across geotextiles, protective wear, mobility textiles, filtration solutions, medical textiles and industrial applications. Panellists emphasised that, although India has built a strong manufacturing base, realising export-led growth will require deeper product innovation, greater specialisation, stronger brand-building efforts and faster adoption of advanced technologies.
Dattani highlighted the influential role of young leadership in shaping the sector’s future. He said, “India’s technical textiles sector stands at an inflection point. As next-generation leaders, our responsibility is to build a globally competitive, innovation-led and sustainable industry. The future will belong to companies investing in advanced materials, integrated supply chains and responsible manufacturing.â€
Sustainability remained a focal point of the discussion, with panellists noting rising global demand for recycled, energy-efficient and performance-enhanced technical textiles. They reaffirmed their commitment to building a sector that balances scale with environmental responsibility.
As India positions technical textiles as a strategic export growth driver, insights from the GenNext panel reflect strong preparedness, clear direction and a shared ambition to establish India as a global hub for textile innovation.
