S Srinivasan, Tex Tech´s Founder-Chairman, no more

S Srinivasan, Founder-Chairman of Tex Tech Industries, passed away at the age of 87. Srinivasan was born on Janaury 7, 1928 and he completed his engineering in Mumbai. He started his career in Escorts Ltd-Tractor division as Sales Manager. He entered Textile industry in 1975 by starting Tex Tech Industries for supply of critical spare parts for combers.

Srinivasan was the first person to introduce the technology of reconditioning nippers which avoided huge amount of foreign exchange as nippers were imported during those days. He was the first to indigenously develop upgradation kits to convert old combers to their latest models.

He received the ´Vijay Ratna Award´ in the year 1996 for his outstanding contribution. In technical innovations for textile sector. Under his leadership, Tex Tech Industries has grown in to a private limited company.

´Tex Tech will continue to expand and enrich its contribution to textile sector by following the path of innovation laid by its Founder Chairman S Srinivasan,´ says S Malligarjunan, his son and the Managing Director of Tex Tech Industries.
