The award was presented during the silver jubilee celebrations of the Central Muga Eri Research & Training Institute by Pabitra Margherita, the Minister of State for Textile & Foreign Affairs.

In a significant recognition of innovation within the textile sector, Pragjyotika Enterprises, a Guwahati-based MSME unit, has received the Certificate of Excellence for its exceptional contributions as a leading machine manufacturer in the Vanya Silk Post Cocoon Sector.

The award was presented during the silver jubilee celebrations of the Central Muga Eri Research & Training Institute by Pabitra Margherita, the Minister of State for Textile & Foreign Affairs.

With a presence in the industry for three decades, Pragjyotika Enterprises has established itself as the primary supplier of textile manufacturing machinery throughout Northeast India.

The company’s commitment to regional development has led to the distribution of 10,000 to 15,000 machines in rural areas, significantly enhancing local employment opportunities.

Manish Jain, CEO, Managing Director, and Proprietor of Pragjyotika Enterprises, emphasised that domestic sectors like these have been vital for the livelihoods of people in Northeast India, playing a crucial role in generating employment and fostering economic growth in the region. His statement highlights the essential contribution of small and medium enterprises in driving economic development and job creation, especially in areas where large-scale industrialisation is limited.
