Power tariff concessions for textiles in Maharashtra

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis announced concessions of Rs 370 crore in power tariff to the textile industry in the State. It will help revive sick textile mills and generate jobs, the chief minister said at a review meeting of textile department officials.

He also directed officials to provide interest and capital grants to the industry. The land belonging to the Maharashtra State Textile Corporation, which is struggling financially, should be sold and the proceeds should be transferred to the textile department, he directed.
