Apparel exporter posts record EBITDA margin of 10.7% in Q1 FY27.

Pearl Global Industries (PGIL) reported its highest-ever quarterly revenue of Rs 15.28 billion for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, marking a 24.5 per cent year-on-year increase.

The company’s adjusted EBITDA, excluding employee stock option expenses, rose 44.1 per cent to Rs 1.64 billion. Its EBITDA margin expanded by 140 basis points to a record 10.7 per cent, supported by an improved product mix and operating leverage.

Profit after tax increased 51.4 per cent year-on-year to Rs 990 million during the quarter.

On a standalone basis, PGIL recorded revenue of Rs 3.40 billion, up 27.4 per cent from the corresponding period of the previous year. Adjusted EBITDA stood at Rs 220 million, with a margin of 6.6 per cent, while profit after tax was Rs 120 million.

The company shipped 20.8 million garments during Q1 FY27, compared with 17.2 million pieces in Q1 FY26, representing its highest first-quarter volume.

PGIL also received dividends of approximately Rs 5 crore from its Hong Kong subsidiary, Pearl Global (HK). The company has regularly received dividends from its subsidiaries in Bangladesh and Hong Kong since FY22.

Pulkit Seth, Vice-Chairman and Non-Executive Director, said growth was recorded across the company’s manufacturing locations, supported by strong volumes, operational execution and its diversified production network.

PGIL operates manufacturing facilities across India, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Indonesia and Guatemala. The company expects global brands to continue consolidating sourcing with manufacturers offering scale, flexibility and multi-country supply chains.

It is also expanding capacity in Bangladesh and strengthening its laundry operations. The facilities are scheduled to be inaugurated in September 2026 and are expected to add approximately seven million garments to annual capacity.

Following the expansion, the group’s total installed capacity is expected to increase to approximately 108 million garments annually.

The company expects India’s apparel exports to benefit from supply-chain diversification, implementation of the India–UK Free Trade Agreement and progress on the proposed India–EU trade agreement.
