Fibers & Yarns exhibition has been growing over the last 12 years and the 13th edition, which took place from April 5-7, 2018 at World Trade Centre, Mumbai, also witnessed all the leading Indian and international exhibitors unveil their collections.

A number of visitors from across India and select from overseas visited the show.  The fair was held in two halls. Unlike last year where the second hall had exhibitors particularly from China, this time around the second hall had a mix of exhibitors from India and China. There were a lot of repeat exhibitors, who have been participating at the exhibition since its first edition, displayed their latest innovations in fibres, yarns and fabric collections.

Kishan Kashiwala, Chairman of Ahmedabad-based Spinning King (India) Limited, who has been participating at Fibers and Yarns Expo since the last eight years, was happy with the response the company received during the exhibition. He says, “Every year, I look forward for this exhibition. There are not many fibres and yarns expo taking place in India, and this exhibition gives us a chance to promote our unique bamboo fibres to the global market.”

Anandi Enterprises wasn’t far behind displaying their latest fibres made out of bamboo, soya bean, and even their famous cotton yarn. Other top exhibitors during the expo included: Reliance, RSWM, Lenzing, Eve Fabrics, Indorama, Dodhia Group, Alok Industries and Rieter. Over 100 exhibitors displayed their unique portfolio.

The aim of the exposition is to bring different types of fibre and yarn manufacturers on one platform where weavers, knitters and garment brand managers get an opportunity to have a look at the latest and specialty yarn collections for conversion into innovative fabrics and garments.
