Odisha CM inaugurates 14 industrial projects

Odisha Chief
Minister Naveen Patnaik has inaugurated 3 industrial projects on July 23, 2021.
He has also performed Groundbreaking of 11 projects.

These projects are diversified and range from Renewable energy,
Metal and downstream, Textile and apparel, Food Processing, Fertilizers, and
Plastic and Food processing sectors. these 14 industrial units come with a
combined investment of Rs 15.37 billion and have given employment to around
3773 persons in Odisha.

According to Honourable Chief Minister, Odisha is the new
‘Manufacturing Hub of Eastern India’. The industries in the state are growing
because of the stable policy and regulatory environment by the
government. The business reforms and facilitation that are offered to different
departments have ensured that businesses will flourish in Odisha, he added. He
further thanked the Odisha-based industries for their CSR activities and said
that the industries are working hand in hand with the state government not only
for economic development but also in discharging social responsibility. During
the second wave of the pandemic, when the country was experiencing a shortage
of medical oxygen, Odisha helped other states by supplying lifesaving medical
oxygen.

The Solar Power Plant in Bolangir by Aditya Birla Renewables Limited
worth Rs 3.52 billion, Aluminium Dross Refining unit at Banjari worth Rs. 0.64
billion, and the Garments manufacturing unit at Chhatabar worth Rs 0.20 billion
were inaugurated by the Chief Minister. the projects for which groundbreaking
was done include Sulphuric Acid Expansion Project unit, Iron Ore Beneficiation
plant, manufacturing unit for production of Plastic pipes, Britannia
Industries, footwear manufacturing unit at Champajhar, HDPE and Thermoplastic
pipes manufacturing unit, Food processing unit and, cold storage facilities,
Offset printing & Book Binding unit at Jaymangal, Biomedical waste
management plant, Organic Fertilisers & manure processing unit, and food
processing unit for Noodles.
