Mylon Metallics was promoted by D Srinivasan, who has over 30 years of experience in spinning of which 18 years was with Sieger. Mylon currently has direct contact to over 800 spinning mills and understands the needs of the customers. At ITME 2016, Mylon had an opportunity to introduce new products like Mylon cone packing machine and an e-bike.

Packing machine

As a part of automation, spinning mills are looking for ways to reduce the dependence on labour. Packing department engages more labour and it is worth exploring options to reduce the labour. Present day packing machines can be imported and the suitability for Indian market conditions is to be established, cost of the machines and availability of spares are the deterring factors.

Mylon has made a bold initiative to develop an indigenous machine for covering of cones followed by packing of cones in boxes or bags. The levels of automation will depend on the customer’s present requirements; the design is flexible to accommodate future automation as well. Mylon would be pleased to offer a customised solution for packing automation. Mylon is set to offer an economical packing solution for the spinning mills.

E-bikes/electric scooters

Ring frames are made with 2,000 spindles, an operator has to walk several kilometers for piecing of broken ends, the operators are fatigued by the mundane jobs of just walking. Mylon has made an e-bike that has caught the attention of spinners. The bike can be interfaced with the spindle monitoring system or can be used as a standalone bike. The bike not only finds the application as an aid to the operators but also can be used by electricians to move around. If the walking is curtailed, more machines can be assigned to the operators.
