The Textile Association (India), Mumbai Unit organised a conference on “Innovations @ ITMA 2015, Milan” on February 12, 2016 at Hotel The Lalit, Mumbai. The conference received overwhelming response.

The Indian Government has notified certain changes in the All Industry Rates of Duty Drawback vide Circular No. 06/2016-Customs dated February 9, 2016. These changes are effective from February 11, 2016. New entries in the Drawback Schedule have been created for cotton yarns mixed with MMF – both grey and dyed.

Nandan Denim Limited (NDL), poised to be Asia’s largest denim fabric manufacturer has reported a net profit of Rs 15.65 crore for the Q3 of FY 2015-16 as against Rs 12.63 crore in the corresponding period of 2014-15, a rise of 23.8 per cent.

The Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) has started the process to develop infrastructure at the proposed textile park at Sayane in Malegaon tehsil of the district. MIDC has already started the survey to develop the proposed textile park.
