Korean textile firm Youngone donates masks to Telangana

Youngone Corporation has donated 10,000
doses of Remdesivir and KN95 masks to the Telangana government to support its
fight against Covid-19.  Youngone
Corporation is a Korea-headquartered leading manufacturer of textiles. Some
5,000 doses have been released as the first batch on July 1 whereas the
remaining doses are expected to reach by July 8. According to Kihak Sung,
Chairman, Youngone Corporation, the company has donated 10,000 vials of
Remdesivir Injections and 100,000 pieces of KN95 face masks on an urgent basis
to the government of Telangana to help them in their fight against Covid-19 and
to mitigate the sufferings of people. He also said that the company’s
management in Bangladesh is going to take permission from the government so
that the procurement and shipment of medicines to Telangana can be done easily.

As per Jayesh
Ranjan, Principal Secretary, Commerce & Industries, this donation was
accepted by the Telangana government with a lot of gratitude. He said that the
number of Covid patients is increasing on a daily basis and
the state has seemed to cross the second wave peak. He added that with such
help from the neighbouring countries, the government is confident that it can
fight this virus and focus on its business investments.

Youngone is a
global manufacturer of athletic apparel, textile, sportswear, knitwear, and
footwear. It employees around 90,000 people from all over the world and has its
base in 13 countries.
