KCT organises workshop on colour matching

KCT-TIFAC CORE in Textile Technology & Machinery of Kumaraguru College of Technology, Coimbatore jointly with the Department of Fashion/Textile Technology organised a workshop on computer colour matching of textiles and apparels on September 19, 2015 at Kumaraguru College of Technology, Coimbatore exclusively for the benefit of students from textile/fashion/apparel institutions. The participants were taught on various fundamental and advanced aspects of computer colour matching of textiles in the facilities established at KCT-TIFAC CORE. K Chandramohan from X-POWER TECH, Tirupur, was the guest and resource person. He delivered a lecture on Computer colour matching of textiles and apparels and gave a demonstration on their X-Rite computer colour matching equipment to all the participants.

Dr J Srinivasan, Head, Fashion Technology, gave welcome address and presided over the function. Dr G Ramakrishnan, Coordinator, KCT-TIFAC CORE, highlighted about the college and about the workshop to all participants and also read the message given by Dr R S Kumar, Principal, Kumaraguru College of Technology. About 40 students and faculty members from various textile & fashion institutes participated in the workshop. S Kavitha, Assistant Professor, Department of Fashion Technology, KCT, and Ariharasudhan, Assistant Professor, Department of Textile Technology, KCT delivered lectures in the workshop. Participants were also demonstrated on facilities established at KCT-TIFAC CORE, Department of Textile & Fashion Technology by the organisers. Certificates were distributed to all participants and resource persons by Dr J Srinivasan during the valedictory function. K Gopinath, SSO, KCT-TIFAC CORE, delivered vote of thanks.
