At HGH India 2018, Dr Kavita Gupta, IAS Textile Commissioner said, “HGH India has grown almost 40 per cent from last year with 600 manufactures and brands. We as a country are in the positon to buy and promote domestic items in the home textiles Industry especially now as our tastes are evolving and becoming more trendy and fashionable. The Trend Pavilion at HGH is particularly important as it sets the theme for the home textile and décor trends for the Indian market.

The Government is offering 25 per cent of subsidy for new investments along with income tax benefits which the home textile market will fully utilise. The Government is also actively looking at giving a positive push to certain areas of home textiles like anti bacterial property, fire retardency and other such innovations in the textile segment.”

Commenting on the occasion Arun Roongta, Managing Director, HGH India, said, “This is the 7th edition of HGH India Trade Show and we are overwhelmed by the response. HGH India is a platform for manufacturers, retailers, exhibitors and many more stakeholders in the home fashion industry to connect and conduct business. Year after year, we have tried to deliver something unique to the Indian market with industry trends across home products. We aim to continue encouraging Indian home product industries to help elevate the supply for Indian retailers and institutional buyers.”
