KARL MAYER to focus on technology for reinforcing textiles & carbon application at the JEC Europe Composites Show & Conferences in Paris.
For the first time, KARL MAYER will be exhibiting at the JEC on its own stand, covering an area of 40 m2 in Pavilion 7.3, R 35.
KARL MAYER MALIMO and KARL MAYER LIBA will be showing its extensive expertise and many years of know-how gained in the composites sector, as well as machines for producing reinforcing textiles, with the emphasis on carbon applications. But the focus will also be on machines for processing glass, aramid and hybrid materials (e.g. carbon mixed with thermoplasts) based on yarns and rovings. The machines produced by both of KARL MAYER´s subsidiaries are extremely versatile. Based on a modular design, they can be customized to suit the requirements of the customer. In addition to being able to process layers at different angles, the lapping can be changed locally and the stitch length or yarns layers can be altered to match the likely direction of force KARL MAYER´s stand is also focusing on spreading technology, which can be used to homogenous virtually every type of carbon used on the market ready for further processing. The machines can also be used to homogenize various types of glass and aramid and to produce yarn bands having specific weights per unit area. With the range of machines being exhibited jointly by KARL MAYER LIBA and KARL MAYER MALIMO, this group of companies is highlighting its leadership of the technology and showing its leading position to the world. Until now, the subsidiaries used to exhibit at the JEC on the joint Saxony stand or on Bayern Innovativ´s stand. The joint presentation of these unique machines by KARK MAYER LIBA and KARL MAYER MALIMO will enable visitors attending the composites fair in Paris to profit from the company´s broad and extensive knowledge in the field of producing carbon-fiber-reinforced plastics, from ideas to product development, and from tips for the everyday working environment. Every member of the exhibition team is looking forward to having some interesting conversations with the end-users, especially in the fields of aerospace and the automotive and wind energy sectors, as well as with customers operating in new areas. The trade fair will also give yarn manufacturers, resin producers and research associations the opportunity to network with each other.
