KARAM Industries forays into surgical face mask manufacturing

Ever since the COVID-19
pandemic has hit the nation,
KARAM Industries – India’s
leading Personal Protective
Equipment (PPE) manufacturing
company – has come forth in
identifying the need gaps in the safety equipment market
and launched products that serve the consumers’
prevalent needs. To further bolster this positioning,
KARAM has announced the launch of IS certified 3 Ply
Surgical Face Mask. The launch of the new product marks
KARAM’s foray into the surgical mask segment.

The certified K-Air mask from KARAM+ (Healthcare
range) ensures superior comfort and ultimate protection.

With excellent filtration, the RFM 50 Surgical Face Mask
provides complete protection to its customers in the healthcare sector with quality, comfort, and affordability.
Developed with certified IS 16289:2014 standards, the face
mask has been designed to offer maximum protection to
healthcare workers and consumers at large with comfort
for prolonged usage.

RFM 50 comes with Ultrasonically Sealed Earloops onto
the mask for better strength. In order to provide comfort,
the mask is equipped with a pliable yet firm nose clip. The
meltblown fabric ensures excellent bacterial filtration with
the inner layer being sweat absorbent and outer layer is
water repellent. As Per IS 16289:2014, Bacterial filtration
efficiency, Percent, min (SI 16288) is 95 in Class 1, 98 in
Class 2 & 98 in Class 3. The mask. The ideal fit also
enhances breathability.

Price of the mask is Rs 4.50 per unit and comes in a
pack of 50 masks.

Speaking about the campaign, Hemant Sapra
(President, Global Marketing) at KARAM Industries, said,

In addition to surgical face masks, KARAM Healthcare
range also includes RFMH 101, RF 101 – RFH 101 K-Air N95
Disposable Face Masks. The masks are available on –
Amazon and on the KARAM website. Wearing a mask is
not only to protect oneself from the virus but also a way to
step up as a responsible citizen in order to control the
outbreak of pandemic by following the safety protocols
and wearing protective gear. With this philosophy in mind,
the brand has also been working extensively in educating
towards demystifying myths around N-95 masks and
raising awareness around mask-wearing etiquettes in
public spaces.
