Huntsman launches Mobile Medical Ambulance in Navi Mumbai

Huntsman, the global manufacturer and marketer of differentiated chemicals, launched its Mobile Medical Ambulance in association with Freedom for You Foundation at Yadav Nagar in Navi Mumbai. The ambulance will also serve as an Emergency Response Centre with an intent of providing free on-site primary health care facility to the area and improving the reach of basic medical facilities. 
Mobile Medical Ambulance will have a doctor and a nurse on board to check for sugar levels, ECG and blood pressure. It will also conduct immediate blood tests and other simple diagnosis on the spot with the aim to treat more than 60 patients a day. Furthermore, it plans to create awareness about the various Government health schemes, educate people about medical insurance, conduct health and wellness camps and sessions on disease prevention and living a better life. The ambulance will also run SHEP (School Health/Hygiene Education Project) which will include deworming of slum based school children by targeting two schools a month. 
Speaking at inauguration, Harshad Naik, MD, India Subcontinent, Huntsman International India, said “We at Huntsman are proud to facilitate primary healthcare facilities in Yadav Nagar, Navi Mumbai with the launch of our Mobile Medical Ambulance. With a 360 degree vision for the program, we aim to consistently reach out to people at their doorsteps with a series of solutions. We are happy to partner with Freedom for You Foundation and look forward to continually serve the community in the best of our capacity.” 
The inaugural program was graced by N Ramaswamy, Municipal Commisioner Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation; Jayawant Dattatray Sutar, Mayor of Navi Mumbai; Ramesh Chavan, Medical Officer Health – Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation; and Harshad Naik, Managing Director, India Subcontinent, Huntsman International India.
The Mobile Medical Ambulance will be operational between 5:00pm – 9:00 PM during all days.
