Huntsman Baroda plant bags CSR award

The ‘Anandi’ CSR programme was recognised for its positive impact through the Animal Husbandry Project.

Huntsman Textile Effects, the leading global provider of high quality dyes, chemicals and digital inks to the textiles-related industries, was conferred with the CSR Excellence Jury Award at the Gujarat CSR Summit 2018 for its Animal Husbandry project under CSR initiative – Anandi. The award was conferred by Atulbhai Jog, Organizing Secretary Akhil Bhartiya Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram (Tribal Department) amidst the august presence of various dignitaries of the fraternity at Hotel Grand Mercure Vadodra Surya Palace, Vadodara. s


Livestock are important assets for people in the rural areas and they play a critical role in building their livelihood The Animal Husbandry project is unique pilot project undertaken by the Huntsman CSR team which has so far benefitted 70 families of Urmaya village in Padre taluka. It aims at capability building of women dairy farmers through expert talks, educational tours, on-field demonstrations. People of the Umraya village have benefitted from government schemes and have also learnt to make organic fertilizers which has been a value add to the project. Huntsman is looking forward to expanding the project with other beneficiaries of the village.
