Haryana Cabinet approved to amend the Textile Policy 2018 (Textile Policy 2019). The policy aims to attract investment to the tune of Rs 5,000 crore and generate 50,000 new jobs.
As per the amendment, anchor units have been defined as an enterprise with fixed capital investment of Rs 100 crore or more which provides employment to 1,000 people or more, with at least 70 per cent of the total unskilled employment to people of Haryana domicile and at least 30 per cent of overall employment to people of Haryana domicile.
