GoCoop, India’s first online marketplace for weavers and artisans hosted ‘Go Swadeshi’- a one of a kind exhibition that showcased a wide range of exquisite handloom sarees and products by weavers and artisans from across the country.  The five-day exhibition was held from 17th August to 21st August at Regional Institute of Co-operative Management in Banashankari, Bengaluru, India.

With a perfect mix of the contemporary and the traditional, Go Swadeshi showcased the best of collection by weavers from Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Odisha, West Bengal and Madhya Pradesh.  From the exquisite molkalmuru and ilkal sarees from Karnataka, vibrant Bengal Jamdanis and Tangail sarees to the subtle elegance of Maheshwaris and Chanderis, the collection at Go Swadeshi was one of the widest. The exhibition also showcased handwoven range of fabrics, home furnishings, menswear as well as womens apparels. Variety of handcrafted stoles & dupattas was also a part of the collection.

GoCoop’s ‘Go Swadeshi’ is an attempt to reinstate the pride in hand-spun, hand-woven and handcrafted products and to encourage people to indulge in the rich handloom traditions of India. The exhibition also gives a unique opportunity for weavers and artisans to sell their produce directly to the consumers.
