Foundation stone laid by Rieter Campus

Winterthur

On the western part of the Rieter site at
the Winterthur location, the foundation stone was laid for the Rieter CAMPUS
with a customer and technology centre and an administration building.

This Rieter CAMPUS is also going to
contribute to the implementation of the innovative strategy and to enhance the
company’s technology leadership position. The campus is built with a floor area
of over 30 000 m2 and it offers space for around 700 ultra-modern workplaces. A
contemporary space concept has also been created, named, “Open Space Office”
which will be tailored to the needs of the company, and will be divided into
meeting rooms, focus rooms, and individual offices. The underground car parking
will have 88 parking spaces and also 12 outdoor parking spaces are being built in
front of the technology centre.

According to Bernhard Jucker, Chairman, the
Board of Directors, Rieter Holding, AG, Rieter has been able to shape the city
of Winterthur over the last 225 years. With the help of the new CAMPUS, the
company is giving an indication of its commitment to the Winterthur site and
Switzerland as a business location.

Rieter’s strategy is innovation and it is
important for the company’s success as well. The company is also trying to make
a substantial contribution to developing systems for r sustainable yarn
production and their digitization. The campus will also promote creativity and
innovation.

The CAMPUS will also cater to energy
efficiency, economic feasibility, and sustainability. Rieter relies on
renewable energy for construction which includes heat generation using
geothermal probes and a photovoltaic system that has a roof area of around 1300
metre square.
