The Confederation of Indian Textile Industry (CITI) will be organising its 9th Asian Textile Conference (ATEXCON) on March 14, 2018 at Hotel ITC Maratha, Mumbai.

The theme of the upcoming event is “Textile Industry: Moving beyond the conventional paradigms”. The conference aims to focus on upcoming innovations, technologies and trends that will shape the global value chain. The event will see deliberation on the following topics: innovations and technological developments shaping the future of textile manufacturing; policy support to achieve $300 billion; global value chain – trade and investment perspectives; and retail in textiles and apparel.

Smriti Zubin Irani, Union Minister for Textiles and Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, will be inaugurating and addressing the 9th ATEXCON. Other senior government officials, policy makers and trade experts from ministries of textiles, finance, commerce, etc. are invited to deliberate on important policy aspects. The event will also witness presence of leading textile and clothing manufacturers, textile machine manufacturers and sector experts from India and European, Asian and African countries to share their insights on the industry.

Through its successful endeavors in the past, ATEXCON is now identified as a recognized and important platform for discussing major trends shaping the global textile and apparel industry. Since the event consists of panel discussions, the attendees can look forward to an opportunity to interact with key policy makers, industry leader, sector experts and though leaders, to be a part of deliberations on key issues and trends shaping the industry, and network with key stakeholders through direct B2B interactions.

CITI has been organising ATEXCON from 2005 onwards with an aim to deliberate on key areas of business, issues and emerging opportunities in the industry. This flagship event of CITI is attended by over 400 leading industrialists/decision makers, diplomats, trade and technical experts, industry associations from India and abroad.
