The Karur exporters have surpassed the previous year’s participation of 62 companies.

At Heimtextil, the annual textile fair currently taking place in Frankfurt, Germany, manufacturers and exporters with stalls are expressing optimism regarding the potential increase in orders for home textiles in 2024-25.

The fair, acknowledged as the world’s largest textile fair, is held annually in the second week of January in Frankfurt and opened on Tuesday, with its conclusion today.

Over 3,000 textile manufacturers and wholesalers have showcased their products at the exhibition, including 448 textile manufacturing companies from India. Among the participating companies, 69 textile manufacturing companies are from Karur, and 135 companies are from Panipat. Notably, the Karur exporters have surpassed the previous year’s participation of 62 companies.

Participants are anticipating that the exhibition will stimulate growth, especially considering the recent slowdown in the home textile industry over the past 18 months due to the global economic downturn.
