Texfair: The Power Showcase

Scheduled to take place from 6–9 March 2026 at the CODISSIA Trade Fair Complex in Coimbatore, the 15th edition of TEXFAIR will showcase the latest advancements in textile machinery, accessories, spares and auxiliary equipment.

The Southern India Mills’ Association (SIMA) is gearing up to host its flagship exhibition, TEXFAIR, a key industry platform that brings together textile machinery manufacturers, suppliers and mill stakeholders under one roof. As India’s textile sector prepares for rapid expansion amid evolving global trade opportunities and technological transformation, the upcoming edition of the exhibition is expected to serve as a catalyst for innovation, collaboration and investment across the value chain.

Scheduled to take place from 6–9 March 2026 at the CODISSIA Trade Fair Complex in Coimbatore, the 15th edition of TEXFAIR will showcase the latest advancements in textile machinery, accessories, spares and auxiliary equipment. The four-day exhibition will remain open from 10 AM to 6 PM and is expected to attract around 250 exhibitors, including participants from Switzerland, Germany, Italy, China and Egypt, along with a wide range of domestic industry players.

A platform for industry growth

Representing the organised textile industry in South India, SIMA has successfully conducted fourteen editions of TEXFAIR since 2001. Over the years, the exhibition has gained recognition for delivering tangible business value to both suppliers and users. While manufacturers have benefited by identifying new customers and expanding their market reach, textile mills have been able to explore alternative sourcing options and adopt cost-effective solutions to enhance operational efficiency.

The exhibition offers a comprehensive platform for stakeholders to make informed investment decisions, showcase innovations and explore emerging technologies. It also provides opportunities for technocrats and shop-floor professionals to update their technical knowledge, while encouraging micro, small and medium enterprises to present their products and gain wider market exposure.

Positioned in Coimbatore — widely regarded as the hub of India’s textile industry — the exhibition leverages the city’s strong manufacturing ecosystem and infrastructure, making it an ideal venue for industry engagement and business networking.

Driving competitiveness in a global market

Highlighting the relevance of the exhibition, Dr K Selvaraju, Secretary General, SIMA, emphasised the importance of the platform in strengthening India’s textile manufacturing ecosystem at a time of expanding global trade opportunities.

“SIMA Texfair plays a vital role in strengthening India’s textile manufacturing ecosystem, particularly at a time when India is expanding its global trade footprint through major agreements with the conclusion of FTAs with the three largest markets for textile and clothing viz U.S, EU and UK and addressing various structural issues including GST, Quality Control Order, Anti-Dumping Duty, etc., and announcement of Mission for Cotton productivity and Integrated Programme with 5 sub-parts in the Union Budget likely to accelerate the growth and attract large scale investment in the near future. SIMA Texfair platform would provide an excellent opportunity to zero in the investments and choosing the right suppliers,” he said.

He further noted that while trade agreements provide market access, industry platforms such as TEXFAIR help ensure market readiness by promoting modernisation, innovation and collaboration across the textile value chain, enabling India to compete effectively in global markets.

Focus on technology and innovation

TEXFAIR has established itself as one of India’s leading exhibitions dedicated specifically to textile machinery and operational solutions that directly improve mill productivity and efficiency. Unlike broader textile trade shows, the event focuses on machinery, accessories and auxiliary equipment, providing targeted solutions for the industry’s evolving needs.

The exhibition will feature innovations across spinning, weaving, knitting, processing and testing equipment, along with energy-saving solutions and digital technologies designed to enhance efficiency and sustainability. The event typically draws a diverse audience, including business owners, technical managers, engineers and shop-floor professionals, making it a highly business-oriented and solution-driven platform.

Beyond product showcases, TEXFAIR also serves as a knowledge-sharing forum, with discussions and interactions centred on digital transformation, sustainability and emerging technological trends shaping the textile sector. Over the years, the exhibition has generated significant business inquiries and orders, reinforcing its position as a growth driver for India’s textile machinery ecosystem.

Looking ahead to TEXFAIR 2026

With India’s textile industry poised for expansion and increased global engagement, the upcoming edition of TEXFAIR is expected to play a crucial role in facilitating industry preparedness, fostering partnerships and driving technological adoption. The organising committee has extended invitations to stakeholders across the textile value chain to participate in the exhibition, positioning TEXFAIR 2026 as a key meeting point for innovation, investment and future-ready manufacturing solutions.
