Nearly 70 per cent of the exhibition space is occupied by CEMATEX member countries and China, underlining their industry leadership.
The region’s leading textile machinery exhibition — ITMA ASIA + CITME Singapore 2025 — opened today at the Singapore Expo, inaugurated by Alvin Tan, Minister of State, Ministry of Trade & Industry and Ministry of National Development, Republic of Singapore.
The four-day exhibition has brought together over 840 exhibitors from 30 countries and regions, representing the world’s foremost textile machinery and technology brands. Spanning 70,000 square metres across 19 product sectors, the event showcases innovations in sustainability, digitalisation, automation, and productivity — covering the entire textile and garment manufacturing value chain from spinning and weaving to processing and recycling.
Returning to Singapore after two decades, ITMA ASIA — owned by CEMATEX (the European Committee of Textile Machinery Manufacturers) — is being held jointly with CITME, organised by the China Textile Machinery Association (CTMA) and The Sub-Council of Textile Industry, CCPIT TEX. This marks the first time the combined show is staged outside China since its inception in 2008.
“This Singapore edition marks a new milestone for ITMA ASIA + CITME,†said Alex Zucchi, President of CEMATEX. “By bringing the latest machinery and digital solutions closer to South and Southeast Asia, we aim to help mills modernise operations and build sustainable competitiveness.â€
Gu Ping, President of CTMA, added, “As textile machinery enters a new digital era, this platform enables global collaboration and knowledge exchange across the value chain.â€
Nearly 70 per cent of the exhibition space is occupied by CEMATEX member countries and China, underlining their industry leadership. Italy leads with 98 exhibitors, followed by Germany and Switzerland. China accounts for 310 exhibitors, while India ranks third with 87 exhibitors.
Among the 19 sectors, finishing machinery leads participation with 184 exhibitors (22 per cent of total space), followed by spinning (19 per cent), knitting (15 per cent), weaving (11 per cent), and printing (10 per cent).
Many exhibitors are presenting technologies focused on circularity, resource efficiency, waterless processing, and renewable energy integration, reflecting the industry’s shift toward sustainability-led growth.
Organised by ITMA Services and Beijing Textile Machinery International Exhibition Company, ITMA ASIA + CITME Singapore 2025 also features the ITMA Sustainability Forum: Accelerating the Green Transition on October 30, co-presented with the Singapore Fashion Council.
