Government reopens PLI scheme application window for textiles

Fresh chance for investors as scheme attracts strong industry response.

The Government has extended the application window for the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme for Textiles following enthusiastic participation from industry stakeholders.

In August 2025, the scheme received 22 new applications from the MMF apparel, MMF fabrics, and technical textiles sectors. Responding to this momentum, the Government has decided to reopen the application process, giving prospective investors another opportunity to participate.

The application window will remain open until 30 September 2025 through the official portal at https://pli.texmin.gov.in. Applications will be accepted under the same terms and conditions as stipulated in the PLI Textiles Scheme notification dated 24 September 2021 and subsequent amendments. No applications will be considered after the deadline.

So far, 74 companies with a committed investment of Rs 287.11 billion have been selected under the scheme. These investments are expected to strengthen the entire MMF value chain through expanded manufacturing of textile products.
