Back Bay India and Tiruppur units ship around 8 lakh apparels for France Games
All the products adhere to the Paris Olympic 2024 theme and look, as prescribed and approved by the Olympic committee.
The opening of the Paris Summer Olympics 2024 on July 26 brought a sense of joy and excitement to Tiruppur, India’s close-knit textile hub.
Back Bay India, a company run by the mother-daughter team Deepa Jayan and Aishwarya Jayan, along with its six manufacturing units, has dispatched ‘Made in India’ products, including eight lakh apparel and accessories, such as tote bags, for the games in France. Aishwarya Jayan expressed her pride in the final shipment, which included T-shirts and sweatshirts sent to Paris. She noted that these products would be sold as official merchandise and souvenirs at the Olympic Village stadiums. She also mentioned that if ‘Made in India’ apparel is spotted in any of the International Olympic Committee’s (IOC’s) retail channels, it could very well be from their textile hub in Tiruppur.
All the products adhere to the Paris Olympic 2024 theme and look, as prescribed and approved by the Olympic committee. They include T-shirts, sweatshirts, trousers, shorts, polos, tote bags, and sweaters, all featuring the licensed Olympic logo. These items will be available at stadiums, malls, stores, and fan venues through authorised retailers.
