R|Elanâ„¢ sets up latest studio in Tirupur

R|Elanâ„¢, the next-gen fabrics from Reliance Industries Limited (RIL), launched its latest studio in Tirupur, to display its future ready innovative range of sustainable and performance fabrics created through specially engineered fibres.

R|Elan™ Studio will be a hi-tech experience centre that showcases all its Hub Excellence programme (HEP) partners’ innovative products & developments across aesthetics, performance and sustainability category. It will provide a seamless and uniform experience to garment manufacturers, exporters, local & international brands, buying houses, agents, traders and the fashion design houses. This would help build a strong collaboration between R|Elan™ and the entire value chain.

Inaugurating the studio, Hemant D Sharma, Sector Head – Polyester, said: “The R|Elan™ studio is a great platform for us to showcase the fabric samples to the buying houses, brands, exporters, garmenters, weavers and knitters giving them a taste of our innovative solutions.” The event was also attended by Gunjan Sharma, CMO – Polyester and Prashant Palsule, Regional Head – Polyester, Coimbatore.

Speaking on the occasion, Raja Shanmugam, President, Tirupur Export Association, said: “This is a good initiative by RIL to create the studio in the heart of a textile hub like Tirupur. For the exporters, it will help to diversify from cotton to performance-based fabrics. This will also help ease various constraints faced by the supply chain establishment like HEP partners.”

R|Elan™, the next-gen fabrics have been created from specially engineered fibres and yarns using the cutting-edge technological expertise, state-of-the-art R&D and the robust testing systems. These smart fabrics have been designed to enhance comfort and aesthetics and it is the most sought-after fabric by renowned domestic and global brands, retailers and apparel manufacturers. In short, R|Elan™ is Fabric 2.0 – fabric of the future.
