Skyscreen Pvt Ltd, Mumbai, has taken the distributorship of Croatia-based Azonprinter to promote and sell their MIRAGE brand direct to garment (DTG) printer in the Indian market.

Commenting on the rationale behind taking up the distributorship of Azonprinter, Anil Brahmbhatt, Managing Director of Skyscreen, says: “The world is now moving towards digital including textile/garment decoration. Although majorly we are dealing in screen printing materials, we have decided to diversify into direct to garment digital (DTG) printing segment so that a balance is maintained in our product portfolio. To grow further in our business, we needed some additional attractive product portfolio, something Gen-Next. So, DTG printing is a fast emerging area that we wanted to tap quickly.”
Specially designed for industrial production and large quantity garment printing jobs, the Mirage DTG printer comes with easy-exchangeable dual-platen platform technology with max. print area: 600 x 800 mm (24-inch x 32-inch). It is best suited for the Indian market with a speed up to 30 dark or 100 white garment / per hour on two plates. One can undertake double, full-colour printing on any fabric with reproduction quality of maximum resolution 1,440 dpi.

Mirage DTG printer delivers the industries most advanced, precise and reliable quality printing solution. The DTG printer comes with superb and outstanding features in terms of wide colour gamut, durability. It delivers beautiful full-colour garment even twice as faster than before on a scalable printable field area.
Mirage is perfectly adaptive for large-scale facilities or even smaller printing applications. With various platens, the fabric is fixed inside the frame, before or later cut and sewed. Faster production, more flexibility and high efficiency. Mirage DTG is capable of printing on a wide range of finished garments such as t-shirts, sleeves, jeans, apron, cloth panels and more. Even at volume production, it offers highly durable and washable garment prints without colour fading.

Mirage DTG has new improved LCD touch screen, larger 220 ml ink cartridges and new sophisticated RIP. Unlike the previous generation with the belt system, this printer has implemented servo motor and ball screw system, enabling the forward-backward movement of the printed object with maximum accuracy.
Although their major area of business is still screen printing sector, two years ago Skyscreen had added digital and heat transfer element into its growing product portfolio. “Taking up distributorship of Mirage DTG printer will add further weightage to our growing product portfolio in screen and textile printing. With the backing of Azonprinter and its own in-house trained and skilled team, we will offer technical and customer support to customers in India,” says Anil Brahmbhatt.
Azon, as a local Croatian company, was established in 1991 and the international company, Azonprinter d.o.o. was established in 2006 at Zagorska in Zagreb. Azonprinter is an award-winning company with a long tradition and experience in development of the latest information technology in the digital industry. With more than 98 per cent of the production being exported, Azonprinter became a strong name in the global market. Their machines are successfully working both in small businesses and industrial high-production companies. The company offers printing systems, the inks and consumables, software, pallets and accessories, technical and application support and services.
