Khurshed M Thanawalla is an independent non-executive director of Mandhana Industries Limited. He holds a Bachelors degree in Commerce from Mumbai University He is Fellow member of Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of London and is also a Fellow of the British Institute of Management and Associate of Textile Institute, UK. He was responsible for setting up and managing textile ventures in Kenya and Indonesia between 1965 and 1984. He was the Managing Director of Barmag India Private Limited which in 2004 was renamed as Sourer India Private Limited and then in 2007 was renamed as Oerlikon Textile India Private Limited on Sourer having been taken over by OC Oerlikon Corporation AG. He is Managing Director of Oerlikon Textile India Private Limited and is also the Country President-India for the Oerlikon Group.

Thanawalla is also a Director of Schlafhorst Engineering (India) Limited, Stovec Industries Limited, Varun Shipping Company Limited, Bimag Machines Private Limited, Oerlikon Textile India Private Limited, to name a few.
