As the global market for dyed yarns and fabrics becomes increasingly competitive, Huntsman Textile Effects is helping Queen South Textile Mills reinforce its industry leadership with a renewed emphasis on environmental and economic sustainability.

Under a Memorandum of Understanding signed on May 4, 2015, Huntsman Textile Effects will collaborate with Queen South Textile Mills to ensure it is among the first to adopt the latest sustainability innovations. It will also support Queen South Textile Mills streamline its operations and optimise its processes by implementing a Productivity Improvement Programme (PIP) at the company´s textile mill in Dhaka and providing technical support and staff training. This strategic cooperation will help Queen South Textile Mills maintain its leading edge through innovation while continuing to comply with the stringent requirements of its export customers around the world. Queen South Textile Mills has already adopted advanced Huntsman Textile Effects technologies, including the market-leading AVITERA® SE dyes. An award-winning flagship dye technology for exhaust application on cellulosic fibers, AVITERA® SE dyes meet increasingly stringent environmental standards and help textile mills improve their productivity and profitability for better economic sustainability. Now available in a broad palette color spectrum with highest light fastness, AVITERA® SE dyes significantly reduce water and energy consumption and carbon emissions by up to 50 per cent.

Experts from Huntsman Textile Effects will carry out a full operational audit at the Queen South Textile Mills´ Dhaka facility and recommend ways for the mill to improve productivity and profitability.
