Lakshmi Machine Works Limited (LMW), founded in 1962, is one among the three manufacturers of entire range of textile spinning machinery from blow room to ring spinning. M Sankar, VP, Marketing, shared his opinion and issues regarding LMWs participation at ITMA.

Editor: Your opinion on participation & ITMA Asias importance in your marketing efforts.
M Sankar (MS): The textile industry in particular the spinning industry is highly concentrated on the Asia & Oceania regions. China and India are the major yarn production hubs and covers more than 80 per cent of the spindleage shipments currently. Also these countries are emerging as leading consumption hubs for textiles.

The fourth edition of the ITMA ASIA CITME Exhibition at Shanghai will offer opportunities for the machinery manufacturers to showcase their innovations and tap the market opportunities available.

Editor: What are your products/machinery for the Chinese & other Asian markets?
MS: LMW, the totally integrated spinning system supplier, is dedicated to "Innovation and Value Creation" for the customer in every product and service. Visitors can witness the following innovations at Hall – W3, Stall – E01.

  • Card LC636 – The Card of the Future
  • Comber LK69 – The Fastest Comber in the World
  • Suction Compact Ring frame LRJ 9 Series – Hitech Unique Compact Ring frame
  • Ring frame LR 9 Series – The Technological Innovation

Editor: How is LMW doing in these markets?
MS: LMW has its own manufacturing facility in China, i.e., LMW Textile Machinary (Suzhou) Co Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary, which caters to Chinese customers need for technologically advanced spinning equipment. Customers in China could implement technologically advanced machines from LMWTMSCL for their investments and it has been widely accepted as a leading technology provider.
