A great success for amec!

There were 59 Spanish exhibiting companies at ITMA in Milan, of which 33 are associated to amec amtex, Spanish Textile Machinery Manufacturers Association.

The 17th ITMA edition has broken a record in the number of visitors. This international show has been attended by more than 1,23,000 professionals in the textile sector, from all over the world. Among them, it is remarkable the presence of Italian citizens, coming to an 18 per cent out of the total attendance in the show, due to being the country hosting the show. They are followed by India (9 per cent), Turkey (8 per cent), and Germany (7 per cent). The top 10 of visitorship is also formed by France, USA, Iran, Brazil, Pakistan and Spain.

In addition to the great number of visitors, Spanish companies associated to amec amtex have shown their satisfaction for the quantity and quality of visitors. They also ensure to have perceived more interest in starting projects and purchasing machinery. Therefore, it can be said that the sector tends to recover in the near future, what will be verified in next ITMA edition, in Barcelona from June 20-26, 2019.

The Spanish Textile Machinery and Garment Association (amec amtex), full member of CEMATEX, European Committee of Manufacturers of Textile Machinery, is in charge of the coordination of Spanish industries that participate at ITMA. amec amtex belongs to amec (Business Multilateral Association), a private non-profit entity, which has been promoting for more than 45 years Spanish exports of industrial goods in various sectors.
