ITJ Editor: What is the status of Fongs in the global dyeing industry? What is its share and how has it developed over the years?
Walter Leung: In global textile dyeing and finishing industry, FONGS is ONLY supplier to manufacture and supply the complete solution of "Pretreatment, dyeing and finishing" machinery.
Fongs Industries Company Ltd was founded in 1963 by Fong Sou Lam. Over those 50 years, Fongs not only grew from a small scale workshop into a globally renowned dyeing and finishing equipment manufacturing enterprise, with nearly 4000 employees and Hong Kong based company is the key player in dyeing and finishing. With FONGS, THEN, GOLLER, MONFORTS, MONFONGS and XORELLA it offers the market leading brands in the sector of dyeing and finishing and the conditioning of yarn.
ITJ Editor: What are the latest technologies it offers in this field? What are their USP or exclusivity?
Walter Leung: The latest generation of the THEN AIRFLOW SYNERGY 8 is the best example of how to make good things even better. It is well known that the liquor ratio achieved with the THEN AIRFLOW principle up-to-date has not been beaten. The same counts for the versatility of this superior machine. With the latest development the energy consumption is further reduced. Every tube now has an individual frequency controlled blower with less installed power.
