PR Roy felicitated

Dr PR Roy, Chairman, Diagonal Consulting (India), has been awarded the 2016 Gold Medal of Society of Dyers & Colourists, UK (Incorporated by Royal Charter) for his prolonged and distinguished service to the textile Industry in India.

Dr Roy has over four decades of rich experience in industry, research & education. The man behind the denim revolution in India, Dr Roy was revered as the father of denims in the country by an American Press. In close association with the McKinsey USA, he took up the challenge of formulating, negotiating and finalising various strategic alliances with the leading American and European textile companies. Dr Roy is currently advising various textile mills to shape up future directions extending technical and managerial support. He has been a guest faculty at IIM Ahmedabad, NIFT and also an expert member (Textiles) of 9th Five Year Plan.
