Fibre Extrusion Technology Ltd (FET) has
come up with a new meltspinning system so that it can upgrade research
facilities at NIRI. NIRI is the global leader in nonwoven engineering and
product development.
According to
Richard Slack, Managing Director, FET, the company is delighted to secure this
order with one of the prestigious research organisation, NIRI. He said that
this order is significant of the fact that this order is a reflection of hard
work and is also a sign that FET is moving forward in the right direction. NIRI
wanted someone to invest in the flexible and adaptable meltspinning technology
and Fibre Extrusion Technology Ltd of Leeds was able to fulfil this wish.
As per the
order, a FET-102 Series Laboratory Meltblown Spinning System and FET-103
Monofilament Meltspinning System need to be installed. This equipment is going
to help NIRI to innovate its pilot facilities and state-of-the-art analytical
laboratory. The meltblown system by FET will be used for pilot projects,
R&D, prototyping, sampling, designing cost-effective products, for bringing
sustainability, and proof of concept testing.
NIRI is famous
in the industry because it helps the manufacturing companies to come up with
new opportunities for meltblown nonwovens, promote their
commercialisation activities, and develop their next generation of products.
The new upgraded laboratory from FET will help in the processing of a wide
range of polymer types.
