Ashwin Chandran, Chairman, The Southern India Mills’ Association (SIMA) has thanked the Prime Minister and Union Textile Minister for including textile industry and allocating budget for improving manufacturing capabilities and boosting exports.

On October 22, 2020 during the Hybrid ITMF Annual Conference 2020 of the International Textile Manufacturers Federation (ITMF), the Committee of Management of the Federation elected the members of the Board for the term 2020-2022. Ruizhe Sun, President of the China National Textile and Apparel Council (CNTAC), was unanimously elected as the new President of the Federation.

A significant event in the textile trade calendars, the 2021 edition will be held alongside yet another premier fair for screen, textile, sublimation and digital printing technologies – Screen Print India thus bringing the entire textile value chain together for business through their new hybrid format.

Elgi Equipments, a manufacturer of air compressors, announced the results for the quarter and half year ended September 30, 2020. PAT for the quarter was Rs 33.2 crore compared to Rs 11.7 crore in the same period in 2019-2020 on a consolidated basis.
