A close partnership between the Austrian Fibers Institute and KOFOTI as well as DYETEC from Korea enables to arrange the 1st Dornbirn-GFC congress for the Asian market. Around 300 till 400 participants from the whole textile chain will be expected to join this special event. An agreement on this cooperation has been signed by October 21, 2019 in Porto/Portugal.

Cooperation of strong partners
The Dornbirn-GFC takes place in Dornbirn/Austria every year in September. Over 700 international participants from more than 35 nations utilise the Fiber Innovation Congress in Dornbirn as a networking platform and to be informed on the latest innovations of the global fibre and textile industry.

The cooperation with the Korean Textile Federation KOFOTI and the well known Dyeing & Finishing Technology Institute DYETEC will create the 1st Dornbirn-GFC ASIA fibre innovation congress in Daegu/South Korea. This special event should improve the network activities with Asian companies.

As a federation KOFOTI is covering the whole textile chain and is extremely powerful in Asia with strong links to China, Japan, Taiwan and other South Eastern Asian countries. KOFOTI is also organising the trade fair REVIEW PID, which basically will run at the same time in Daegu. This leads to a strong synergy as this trade fair gets around 500 exhibitors and approx. 25.000 participants.

Experienced programme on 2 days
The programme design will be similar to the Dornbirn-GFC congress in Austria. Plenary speakers will open the Dornbirn-GFC ASIA congress on March 3, 2020. Around 30 expert lectures concentrate on March 3-4, 2020 the following key topics:
•    Fiber Innovations
•    Nonwovens and Technical Textiles
•    Mobility – e.g. automotive interior and structural
•    Smart fabrics
•    Sustainability and circular economy

Interactive discussions will round off this special fibre innovation congress. From European side renowned university professors and board members or owners of top companies from the fibre and textile industry have already confirmed their participation.

Congress location and services
The 1st Dornbirn-GFC ASIA congress will be held at the Samsung Creative Innovation Center in Daegu. All lectures will be given in English and will be translated to Korean language, even to other languages on demand. A delicate catering will be served.
