“This is an important step in the growth strategy of the sector ANDRITZ KÜSTERS NONWOVEN within the Andritz Group,” underlines CEO, Dr Erich W Bröker. “Through the Andritz AG competence on hand in the areas of pulp, fibres, tissue the extension of activities into the area wet-laid is actually a matter of follow-up consistency.”

Mr Helmuth Pill, CEO of the PILL company, has decades of experience in the development, engineering and production of wet-laid nonwoven ranges.

Core of the PILL wet-laid nonwoven technology is the combination headbox/inclined wire part. The well-experienced technologist and developer strengthens the Andritz Küsters team in engineering, process technology and installation of new ranges, upgrades and modifications with immediate effect.

“Through flexibility, innovation and co-operation we now are in a position to offer our worldwide customers individual solutions and project support – right from the very first basic trials down to final delivery of a range. By co-operating with Andritz Küsters I can now narrow down my focus even more as to the needs of our mutual customers in the field of process technology,” states a pleased Helmuth Pill. “Comprehensive know-how in the nonwoven market and dialogue with customers allows us to offer or jointly develop customised products for each product and each application.”

This is why the Andritz Küsters Nonwoven Technical Centre will be extended to include a wet-laid nonwoven laboratory range.
